Established in 1975 as a non-profit AKC All Breed Kennel Club, Gloucester Kennel Club cherishes dogs and community.  Gloucester Kennel Club (GKC) promotes, advances and celebrates the Purebred and All American Dog.  We actively encourage and participate in AKC conformation, obedience, Rally and other companion and performance sports.

 

GKC members help establish and preserve the unique relationship between dogs and their owners. From our annual Conformation show in June, to amazing FastCAT events in March, April and October, as well as ongoing training classes, you'll find GKC members stepping up to help our canine communities.

 

Weekly trainings at our 40 acre site in Gloucester prepare community dogs and handlers for great competition or simple obedience. Gloucester Kennel Club boasts a tradition of high standards of success- many of our members compete at different levels throughout the country- even earning top AKC honors at events like The Westminster Dog Show.

​Community support is a big part of GKC heritage. We annually participate in community events and donate revenue generated by our various events and trainings to support local community organizations. Some examples of these include the Gloucester Mathews Humane Society, the Gloucester Fire Department, and AKC sponsored organizations that promote responsible dog ownership.
